Every year, the people of New Orleans celebrate Mardi Gras, which is French for "Fat Tuesday". For many years, there have been amazing parades and parties to celebrate Mardi Gras. People create amazing floats, decorations and costumes inn order to properly celebrate. There are millions of strings of glass beads thrown to partiers and costume balls are 'the place to be". It begins the season of fasting for Lent for many Christians and is always the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. For everybody celebrating Lent, which leads to Easter Sunday, it's their last chance to enjoy feasts before fasting. Happy Mardi Gras, everyone!
